More Basement Work

We spent the day tying up some loose ends on the plumbing in the basement. We installed the new outdoor water spigot in its new location and also got water ran to where the toilet will be. Since the bathroom/laundry room area will have 1/2″ sub-floor installed, we laid the first piece and installed a new toilet flange so we could get the toilet set back up. Not a lot of privacy if you need to use the toilet, but that will soon change. Replacing and re-routing all of the plumbing has taken a lot longer than we thought it would and has cost more than we thought it would, but it’s something that needed to be done to gain the space that we want with that added benefit of getting rid of the old copper and cast iron pipes. Now, if we can only get the gas line re-routed, we’ll be in business. Once that’s done, everything else is cake.
